These are storm-chasing pants, featuring a shell material that cuts through unstable weather and provides the full stretch necessary for moving fast in the backcountry. The outer material of stretch-woven nylon is lightweight and durable, with plenty of give for dicey recoveries. A waterproof/breathable barrier inside the 3-layer fabric package provides complete foul-weather security. Skin-friendly brushed tricot smoothes the waist and controls moisture. The welded seam construction creates a clean design that increases weather-resistance and makes these pants especially soft and compressible. Heavy-duty edge guards protect lower legs and gaiters, which have gripper elastic, adjustable cam buckles and tie-down loops that form a tight bond with boots. Articulation at the seat and knees is perfect for getting schooled in some funk. The men's pants have a drop-seat design with two-way zips and removable suspenders.
